THE CHALLENGE
In large-scale industrial operations, every movement influences the productivity of the entire value chain. At Continental Mabor, transporting tyres from production to the finished goods warehouse is a critical stage in the logistics process. Any delay, disruption or inefficiency can impact the responsiveness of the operation and the utilisation of available resources.
At the same time, the need to improve safety, reduce repetitive tasks and increase visibility across the entire operation demanded a solution that could meet the challenges of modern industry without compromising production continuity.
Against this backdrop, ATLoS developed an autonomous transport solution designed to integrate seamlessly into the existing infrastructure, raising levels of operational efficiency and preparing the operation for a new generation of industrial logistics.
THE SOLUTION DEVELOPED BY ATLOS
To address the identified challenges, ATLoS implemented an integrated autonomous intralogistics solution in which all operational elements function in a coordinated manner. This incorporates a 100% electric autonomous vehicle, automatic loading and unloading docks, a human-machine interface (HMI), automatic battery charging during operation and a smart fleet management platform that is responsible for ongoing management and monitoring.
This technological architecture enables the entire transport cycle to be automated without manual intervention and ensures continuous communication between various industrial systems and efficient integration with existing infrastructure.

HOW THE OPERATION WORKS
This solution has been designed to make the transportation of tyres fully autonomous, continuous and predictable. The process begins in the production area, where pallets are prepared and positioned at the automatic loading bay. Once loading is complete, the autonomous mobile robot (AMR) commences the mission defined by the management system.
During the journey, the AMR navigates along industrial routes autonomously, interacting with gates, access control systems, barriers and traffic lights to ensure safe movement that is seamlessly integrated into the factory environment. Upon arrival at its destination, the vehicle automatically unloads the pallets and is immediately available to start a new mission.
The Fleet Management platform monitors the entire process in real time, providing information on mission status, vehicle location and operational performance. This enables teams to maintain constant control over the entire operation.
